Yeah, I can believe 1:10-1:30 runs for only killing the 36, makes absolute sense - totally inline with my 3 minute runs killing each mob separately.

Sounds like you had a real lucky 80 runs/2 hours farming the north half in your test.

I'm quite skeptical that 36 vaettir consistently drop 2x as much event items as 34 raptors - that's just totally illogical. I mean, why would they bother checking mob type to determine %event drop likelyhood (maybe level plays into it, lvl 25 vs 26?!?). But hey, I guess we can all believe what we want to.

Not sure, but my test was definitely not secluded to 2 hours of farming each, as noted; I farmed a weekend of both (friday a mix of both, saturday of raptors, sunday of vaettir during the first weekend), (friday a mix of both, saturday of vaettir, sunday of raptors the second) for about 17/18 hours per day.

The levels might play into it, but I didn't notice significantly higher levels of event items dropping from DoA mobs and the like :P

It actually only takes about 8 seconds if you:

Zone in
Glyph, Deadly Paradox, Shadow Form
Dwarven Stability
Shadow of Haste @ portal
Death's charge in
round up the group of 36, renew SF without glyph / paradox, retreat to budger
spam kegs & loot
cancel with dash & zone out / in again

As for the 3-5 average event items per run...
~Did you maybe bring a hero with you?
~Were you a hard-core farmer way-back when, possibly having a "mark" on your account?

I guess there's any number of possibilities and variables that A-Net doesn't want us to know about, but what can you do? :P

Hey guys I need help!

I tried the build in the video but it doesnt work at all for me.

I can aggro them all and everything goes fine.

The problem is, most of my WW attacks gets blocked so I don't deal nearly enough damage. None of the raptors dies and they all still have like 3/4 or HPs left.

My stats are exactly like in the video : 12 str 12 swd but 11 in tactics.

What am I doing wrong?

Edit : Oh my god nevermind... I feel like such an idiot haahahaa! I was using an axe the whole time! Gotta try with a sword now!

I don`t know, but i used to keg farm 60 vaetris, pick up loot and zone out under 1min.

I had 2 charrs in it, since i play gw on my laptop and pc desktop pc. I just putted laptop at the side, and when i would kill all vaetris, i would press X+R on laptop that was at left side of me (turn around + run).

Anyway, with my assasin, i kill 25-28 raptors under 1:20min (bos included). (With zoning in-out).

Is that OK? any advices how to im prove

I agree with IcyFiftyfive...
Bringin Leechers does not Increase your Drops... it Actually Makes them Less.. Becuase all the drops now have to be Split up between each person in the Group..... Therefor the drop rate Decreases... lol I have been a hardcore solo farmer for 4 years now sinse day one and Wouldnt think of bringin anyone with while farming.....
I like my gold drops for myself...lol
The whole thing is that sumone spread a Huge Rumer.. Lie... to New People Farming.. that if they Bring others in there group (leechers) that it raises the Drop Rates... in Return Helps the other Farmers going Solo with better drops rates.
So ya.. if you think its better... than more power to you guys and your leechers...
Its Just more Golds for Me....lollll

Also, When you Solo Farm... Stay far away from Busy Districts... the More People in a district... area.. . less Drops you'll get.. American Districts are the Worst..
Solo Farm in Asia or Europe for better Drop Increase.. more Golds..

Not sure in the splitting drops as from what i recall the raptor farmer goes in alone and the rest of party stays at shrine/exit out of drop radius.
Tbh i never do raptors unless solo and ive never yet taken leechers.

The actual drop rate debate i fear will never be answered - too many variables and zero help from anet.Ive had runs with hardly anything on a chr thats not raptor farmed for ages and been elsewhere - took a while to get a few decent drops.
